The bigB will enable working bees to take place across the neighbourhood over one weekend. This project is to create the tools and resources to enable the event to take place.
There needs to be in place a governance structure, website enabled booking system, information and resources. Promotion will be done through SCA (Vic) who are the peak body of the strata industry. Strata managers and property owners will need access to resources and tools to run the working bees and industry partners will donate time and materials to support the working bees that will have greatest community impact.
Twenty Four volunteers are working on delivering this project. We aim to take this from a grass roots idea to a fully functioning movement that is inclusive in its diversity, access and community spirit.
When people help others this improves the overall environment that people are living in and helps to build inclusion and connectedness between people and reduces loneliness. There are other proven health and well being benefits for people who help others. By enabling working bees in this manner the Frankston community will benefit.

It’s a great initiative. At Anton’s pilot working b at the old Ambassador Frankston I sent some Linkfire staff to give a hand. I hope it gets some traction and wins.
