The (basket)ball is in your court!

Building on the redevelopment and upgrade to the Mount Pleasant Reserve facilities, we want to install a basketball half court. This would provide an engaging activity for older children, youth and adults in an area of Ballarat that has higher rates of disadvantage. We would also have a free community celebration to mark the achievement with:
* a 3x3 hustle half court exhibition match
* a 'come and try' coaching clinic
* a basketball shooting competition
* a BBQ
* free basketballs for children and young people 5 years - 24 years old

Free basketballs + local basketball half court + exhibition match = place to play everyday! At the Mount Pleasant Reserve you can play on the playground, run on the oval area or even have a BBQ but something is missing ... Unfortunately the basketball half court that you asked for made it onto the plan but there was no money left to build it! But it's not too late. The ball is in your court (literally) because everyone aged 5-24 attending the event celebrating the new court will receive a new basketball so that they can come back and play.
