Talgarno Playground

A space where children of Talgarno and district can come together, socialise, and be active in the great outdoors. The adventure playground will feature equipment suitable for all ages as well as a picnic setting.

Playground equipment will include a slide, bridge, spider net, tower, flying fox, spring balance boards, tunnel, rock wall and swings.

Sand will be placed around the base of the playground.

Advanced trees to promote future natural shade will be planted around the site.

Currently Talgarno lacks community infrastructure for young families to enjoy. A playground will provide much need benefits to the community including:
• A space for young families to celebrate – Christmas gatherings, birthdays and school holidays!
• Somewhere for local parent groups to gather and talk - creating a sense of belonging.
• Encouraging children to get outside and be active; ultimately supporting mental and physical health.
• Adding an asset to the town that will encourage young families to stay in the region. In addition, Talgarno will become more attractive to families looking to relocate.
