Kyvalley Tennis Club currently only has only two (out of six) courts that are safe to play on. The project will upgrade two 40-year-old pitted and cracked asphalt courts with synthetic grass. The club is the heart of the local community, a place where families and friends gather for fitness and social connection. Primarily used by 261 members, it hosts Hot Shots, junior and senior tennis, social Fast4 tennis, ladies mid-week competitions, private coaching opportunities, and it's accessible to the broader community at all times.

The Kyvalley Tennis Club is located in a small rural farming district in northern Victoria. Recent years have seen the club’s revival with rapid growth in membership across all age groups. The club is committed to providing a fun and safe environment for our members, family, friends, volunteers and the local community; however the two current playable courts are unable to accommodate our now large number of participants. An upgrade of two asphalt courts would enable a safe playing surface for participants and our club’s further growth as a hub for fun, fitness and community activity.

A wonderful place to enjoy playing tennis. Let's keep increasing our community spirit, by improving the surface, to allow more people to play.

Small club works extremely hard to facilitate a very important social and sporting facility in our farming community. Local government has made it clear their preference is to have facilities centralised, but this doesn’t take into consideration the kids who ride their bikes down to the courts or the families who go for a hit after dinner. They are not going to get into the car and drive to a larger, centralised facility to do this. At a time when our community needs exercise and stress relief it is essential that these projects are on top of our priority lists.

A small community with a huge tennis following. Hot Shots tennis has become extremely popular at this venue yet there are not enough safe courts to accommodate the growing interest.

There is a great community spirit around these tennis courts which badly need upgrading. My grandchildren play tennis there and the courts are very dangerous. I played tennis at Kyvalley many years ago and enjoyed it.

Having a better surface, will give those whom play here a sence to pride and feel more connected as these grounds new need to be seen as a community which is alive and strong, it will encourage others to play here, and engage then with a wider impact, as it will then be able to accommodate for greater good, keeping the community together!

The Kyvalley Tennis Club has gone from strength to strength since reforming some years ago, and has some very driven and dedicated members and parents whose focus has been on the development of junior tennis players in the area. The membership has increased so much due to the outstanding leadership of this group of people but only 2 tennis courts, of the 6 available, meet the standard for competition and running of junior programs at the club. Resurfacing of the courts is the number one priority of the tennis club to achieve its goals and I ask everyone to please vote for this vital upgrade project for the future direction of the Kyvalley Tennis Club.

This upgrade is extremely important to a community who put 100% into their community spirited projects and especially their tennis club and children’s sports and activities. A great family facility in much need of repair!
