Sweet Soul Festival 30th Celebration

The project celebrates 30 years of Sweethearts' diverse, creative culture and brings together current & emerging female musicians from the Geelong region and beyond.

The Sweethearts Foundation plan to hold a free music festival during the day on Sunday December 2nd in Little Malop Street, Geelong. Professional and non professional artists will be engaged, including former Sweethearts and supporters, and through collaboration with local businesses, multiple venues would also be offered providing increased opportunities for artists and access for the community.

The festival will promote & showcase young female artists & bands from across the Geelong community.

The event is free for the public and will provide a platform for artists to perform in front of audiences that might not otherwise see them. People from multiple ages in the Geelong and Barwon region will benefit from the cultural experience and music provided. Specifically, the project promotes gender equity through providing performance opportunities for young women. Local businesses will have an economic benefit with increased trading. The festival will raise awareness of the Sweethearts internationally recognised program and inspire new emerging talent.
