Sun Protection on Playgrounds

I would like to put decent shade over the Flinders Parade, Barwon Heads playground so children can use it all year long without the worry of constantly adding sunscreen and reminding them to put hats on.
Shaded areas will mean the playground will be used a lot more throughout the year. On those really hot days - the play equipment will no longer be exposed to the sun, meaning kids can play on everything without the fear of being burnt on touch.
On winter wet days, play equipment can still be accessed and used without getting wet

This will encourage many families to head to the park all year round knowing they are protected against all kinds of weather.
It will encourage kids to go to the park and run around which in turn will help with child hood obesity.
Having access to a playground all year will benefit many families both physically and mentally.
By covering playground, the equipment will also last longer, meaning less money being spent on maintaining the playgrounds.
