Providing playground equipment that will benefit the disabled in our community and to the visitors travelling through Stuart Mill. With public toilets available it is important to be able to provide for everyone's needs. With a playground and BBQ area already available we to want to be able to add to our playground area. The playground will need to have the safety soft fall area extending for the new swings, we will also need a shade sail to cover the whole playground to provide shade.

Stuart Mill is in central Victoria and is surrounded by Maryborough, Bendigo, Ballarat and St Arnaud. We provide a safe area for families to have a rest stop with free BBQ facilities and playground. St Arnaud provides a disability service to the local families and every week bring disabled clients to utilize the facilities Stuart Mill offers. Most clients are unable to use the everyday swings available so we as a community are wanting to cater for all abilities at our playground to encourage more visitors and families to enjoy our small town.

A strong and active community that values people of all capabilities. This is a worthy project for a rural community so let's make this happen.

Having a disabled granddaughter who is confined to a wheelchair we would love to be able to see her participate and join in with the other children in the park. As there are no special facilities for her and other children like her she always has to watch from the side lines.
We have noticed that the local hostel for impaired persons and young adults visit the park frequently and it would be so good for them to be able to use the new facilities also.

Stuart Mill is a small community punching above its weight.
The addition of all access equipment will provide a great opportunity for travellers and for the local significant disability services of the district, who use the existing picnic/ park area regularly.
St.Arnaud 20 kms away, provides disability support to dozens of families across a wide area of the Wimmera and will benefit from this project.

Many people (community; limited ability; children; travellers) visit our Rec. Reserve and the provision of shade and facilities for all abilities at the playground would be of great benefit to all.

A very much needed add on to a wonderful play area for families and people with disabilities a nice drive plenty of extra space away from the crowds which is what is often needed. Very peaceful out in the fresh air and a great enhancement for Stuart Mill

A community project to give additional enjoyment and freedom to those who may have difficulties in what is often considered a "normal" environment.

This is a beautiful area that will only improve with the inclusion of disability equipment. With the replacement of the shade sail that was torn in 2016, it will then complete and another great addition to the Stuart Mill landscape.
