Strutt Your Stuff Darebin is an alcohol-free, fun, social evening
celebrating self expression, connection and the power of recycling: an opportunity for people of all abilities/backgrounds to be included and connected through Span Community House.

The community will come together to ‘build’ the event: in active planning, development, promotion and fun creative workshops.

There will be something for everyone at Strutt Your Stuff Darebin including a fashion parade involving models of all abilities wearing repurposed clothing, recycled clothes ‘takeaway’, dress-up photo booth, exhibition, live music, disco, prizes, market stalls and refreshments. Strutt Your Stuff Darebin will be the collective effort of a diverse range of local people and organisations. Our inclusive approach to planning and staging the event will provide a range of opportunities for skill development, confidence building, interagency and community co-operation; strengthening community relationships and an inclusive sense of safety for all those involved. Strutt Your Stuff Darebin will be run by the community for the community. Staging the event and all preparations at Span Community House will sustain the benefits of the event - Span will be show-cased as a resource to support community connection, health and well-being.
