Stand Up For Our Stadium

The Stadium is half a century old & the most utilised sporting facility in the municipality. We will 1). replace warped & failing wooden seating. 2). Upgrade the disabled ramp into the Stadium to Australian Standards (AS). 3) Open up the foyer entrance from entry to café area 4) Widen entry from café into courts 5). Improve viewing from café area to courts (eg. install viewing window).

The Stadium has over 35,000 annual users to the facility each year. These upgrades will ensure that all our sporting associations (Basketball, Badminton, Squash, Futsal, Netball, Volleyball, Schools) have a modern, safe, welcoming & accessible sporting facility. The project benefits include:
Enabling access for all abilities (the access ramp will comply with AS). New seating will allow court run offs to be met (to Netball and Basketball Victoria Standards), alleviate existing traffic congestion of people entering and exiting the venue, and improve connectivity & viewing between café area and courts which will increase kiosk sales.
