We want to promote and provide a visual link for the new Tourism and Cultural Precinct, which includes Nature Play Space, Visitor Stop, Fauna and Wetlands Park. This will build on the successful Sheep Art project by positioning a variety of Australian native animals, along with farm animals on the vacant wide grassy median strip, along with extra sheep for the main street. This will enable visitors to follow the animal trail leading to two key destinations. This will provide an interactive and tactile experience for people travelling the Western Highway, whilst educating and promoting the region's agricultural industry.

We anticipate that the project will support recent art and tourism developments, along with supporting many new local investments in our area, including hospitality, retail and accommodation businesses. We are building on the success of the Sheep Art project and aim to increase the flow of foot traffic from the main street to the Fauna and Wetlands Park's new Kaniva Cultural & Tourism Precinct. This project will also help to address driver fatigue for the 2,300 daily travellers through the township, and produce significant economic gains by way of additional employment opportunities through the visitor dollar.
