The final two courts need to be resurfaced and have lighting installed to bring the courts up to competition standard. Lighting will allow the facility to be used during evening and night competition.
The community of Boorhaman and surrounds will have access to the courts at all times.
The tennis club will be able to continue with their Hot Shots program and expand the Fast Four night competition.
As part of the North East Regional Tennis Association, Saturday competition will thrive with all players being able to play on safe and upgraded courts.
The upgraded tennis courts gives the community ability to access safe and good quality tennis courts.
The introduction of night tennis allows working families the opportunity to meet and enjoy recreational or competition tennis. This promotes community pride, social interaction and a healthy lifestyle.
A new and appealing look to the courts will entice families and friends to spend an afternoon enjoying a hit of tennis and encourage local children to join the newly formed Hot Shots.
With the final two courts resurfaced and lighting installed, more people will be able to access the courts day or night.

Boorhaman has an enthusiastic group of young families and in recent years they have developed a successful tennis coaching program for 25 kids from 5-12 yo. There are now families playing competition and recreational weekend tennis. This has only developed since the first refurbishment of the courts happened. Such a healthy, positive outcome for a rural community.
