St Kilda Start- Up Collective

This project will create a community of start-up founders in the south-eastern region of Melbourne by offering the following resources and services:

- Access to 20 co-working spaces
- An entrepreneur-in-residence who will meet regularly with the founders to help them set goals and hit milestones
- Fortnightly business workshops on topics such as sales and marketing, hiring, business planning, legal, capital raising, budgeting and financial planning
- Physical and mental health related events such as yoga, meditation, and wellness workshops to ensure they stay healthy
- Opportunities to connect with venture capitalists
- Networking and social events

The rate of unemployment in Victoria sits at 6.1%, which is the highest of any Australian state. Many entrepreneurs struggle to build a network with like minded people an often enter into ventures without the right tools for success.

This will assist individuals in the south-east build a community with others facing similar challenges and provide resources to build their skill-set and ensure business success via collaboration, which will create jobs and subsequently boosts the economy.

The community will also be able to establish partnerships with education providers to offer students an avenue to put into practice their learnings.
