The community has a great need for a central location delivering advice, outcomes, and training on what concerns them most. Trained staff in a counseling environment will assist in matters ranging from day to day living experiences to education, training and employment opportunities. The community sometimes operates, mainly due to language barriers and cultural barriers, in a vacuum, this leads to stress on families and individuals within, particularly the youth, who feel disenfranchised from society. Our aim will be to provide solutions to all of these problems.

By bringing the availability of a community centre to the community, we will provide to the community an immediate and accessible meeting point which allows them on an individual basis to receive help for their specific issues. We envisage employing and training suitable individuals in an environment suitable for this service.
The centre can become a focal point for discussion of, and solutions to, problems that both individuals and the community as a whole face in today's environment.
We envisage developing a training facility at the centre to take advantage of resources we have developed through various training organisations.

This looks to be a great initiative. Support for this sector of our community is vital if we are to be a truly inclusive and cohesive society.

Mamada deserves to receive the grant. I feel confident that when the Government realises what wonderful work Ambrose and others are doing, and what a great community you've built up, with such great kids, they'll look favourably at your application. All the very best....

Sounds like a great project. So many children leave Primary School engaged and positive and then something happens where they lose engagement with the community. Hopefully you will be able to bridge that gap for some.

This sounds great, I feel like there are many other organisations in the community who would be great to form partnerships with this to get it up and running and ensure integration into existing community groups.

For everyone, please vote for this project "South Sudanese Community Centre" as it is designed to help turn around young people and engaged fully to what we called "Civic Engagement". Civility is everyone benefits. What's in it for me, is found in "civility."

Will this project be for males only? The photo gives this impression.

Thank you for noting that gender gap, it is for all and runners of this project, a majority are young women. Next time you will see a lot of both male and female photos together. We took note of that and thank once more.
