Sojourner's Gathers

This project objective is to provide international students an avenue to process where they have come from and where they are going. International students in Australia are rapidly growing and they are vulnerable, lacking support and removed from their supportive networks. Many studies have found they struggle with adjustment and transition, and lack coping skills to work through relocating to a foreign country. The aim is to give international students what they need to get through this season in life, not just to survive but thrive. This platform will allow them to truly focus.

The local community will benefit by being able to join in and be able to bridge the divide between them and international students by listening to their stories and journey together through these gatherings. The gatherings will take the form of psycho-educational by accredited counsellors/psychologists, coaching sessions and creative therapy group work.
