Great opportunity for training and improving the landscape. Good idea.

The Social Foundry is a not-for-profit enterprise seeking to empower communities to mentor, nurture, and impart life-skills to people in their local neighbourhoods through three target areas; Woodworking, Hospitality, and Conservation/Land Management.
With our hospitality program up an running, the Social Foundry is seeking to build our conservation land management program.
Key activities will include working with farmers to help restore paddock trees which act as valuable habitat for many native species, while working alongside young people whose opportunities have been limited, and building a native food garden at the Social Foundry's premises in Kyneton.
We recognise that people play the most significant role in conservation.
This project seeks to benefit both the landscape and the community by offering young people opportunities to work outside and participate in conservation projects,
Participants benefit not only from learning valuable workplace skills but also from working and being in nature. This program will seek to connect with and support farmers, building community connections between farmers and participants. The project will also establish a native food garden in the Social Foundry's cafe space and will offer community conservation activities and environmental education programs.

The hospitality side of the business is thriving! But even more opportunities needed in the Macedon Ranges to give a hand up not a free hand out to our young people who have so much good to offer the world!
There are so many great projects on this program.
Great initiative that will benefit individuals, community and the environment.
The work already undertaken by Social Foundary is proving very successful, this builds on their capacity to work with young people and at the same time helping farmers and the environment
