The Wellbeing Convention will be held in February during Children’s Mental Health Week and will have a target audience market of parents and education leaders. The convention will be an all day event with a number of professionals speaking on a variety of topics. Attendees will also receive resources and tools that can be used at home and in schools. Project aims:

1. Assist in building community self-awareness and social cohesion.
2. Hope to bridge the gap between two important resilience factors in young people.
3. To provide tools and resources that are utilised both at home and education.

Social Emotional Guidance Health Convention - is a program being developed that focuses on building capacity in young people by focusing on the outer rings of their “ecology of resilience”, that is, the place of education and family. The program is designed to help teachers and parents build productive coping skills, self-awareness and effectively communicate with young people.

This convention will aim to provide skills to leaders and parents alike in the Eastern Metropolitan region to help build a supportive environment for young people.
