Children of all ages have loved playing on the old wooden pirate ship at All Saints Parish School. It has given them many years of fun and imaginative play. Sadly the old ship has not weathered so well over the years and is falling apart. We aim to replace it with the Edmund play structure that will continue to inspire imaginative play on the high seas in Portland.
The playground structure will be shared with the YMCA Before/After school care and holiday activity group who is based at the school. This project will enhance the way a wide cross-section of families in the community utilise the facilities and engage with the school community. The number of families accessing the YMCA Before/After school care and holiday programs has significantly increased since they have been sharing the school's facilities. We wish to continue and strengthen this relationship and provide quality facilities for use by the community.
