Share More, Wear More

Our wardrobe sharing concept strives to minimise the environmental and human impact of fast fashion by encouraging the sharing of clothes. Think of it as a clothes library where people can borrow quality items for free, from other members of the community.

On average 80% of women’s items aren’t being worn regularly. We want people to open this up to others for borrowing through a well-designed store that educates, builds community and trust. And with money saved by not spending on poorly made clothes can be invested in sustainably made items that last and benefit everyone.

The mass consumption of cheaply made garments poses a serious and imminent risk to our environment. In an attempt to minimise waste, the project will encourage people to act resourcefully. By sharing it will help slow down the rate of needing to buy something new so that we can buy better. Collingwood has a strong progressive youth presence, it’s a perfect place to build a community of ethically conscious wardrobe sharers. I have seen the success of ‘Share More Wear More’ pop-up. It's a sign that the community is craving a better way to express themselves through fashion.
