This project will be a permanent monument that will list all of those from the Seville township who have died while on active service. In images and text that tell the history of Seville's contribution to our nation's military heritage (including home front). It will honour Seville's only Victoria Cross recipient - George Ingram VC, MM. It will be a work of art and stand as a local icon. Four glass panels with images and text on the interior and exterior standing four metres high almost in a pyramid shape. It will be an educational and emotive tribute.

The community will have a place to gather together on days of national significance. They will have a place where it can honour the township's sacrifice to our nation. It will have its history and heritage displayed in a permanent way for generations to come. It will create a work of art to be admired and appreciated. It will be a local icon - not just for Seville but for the Yarra Valley. People from outside the area will come to see it and tourists will stop to view it - hopefully also assisting the local traders as well.

After years in the planning it is so exciting to imagine this project completed.
A wonderful asset that will commemorate a significant part of our history, and a beautiful piece of art for the whole Yarra Valley to enjoy.

What a wonderful opportunity to see this project come to fruition - a project that will become a permanent asset to our town and surrounds, and importantly it recognizes, educates and commemorates the sacrifice of those who fought for the freedom we take for granted today. A most worthy project - Lest We Forget

Such a beautiful memorial to represent our brave men who sacrificed so much for Australia.
WWl was the beginning of our national pride which continues today on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.

Important to have a significant memorial to remember those who gave their lives for the freedom of Australia.

A place to remember the price paid for the life we live today. If we forget the past we have nothing.

This monument will help to commemorate the engagement of this town in this year marking the end of WW1. The people of the town tended to mark the wars in practical ways such as an avenue of trees but only two of those trees remain from the end of WW1. It is now appropriate for a formal memorial.

A great thing for the community and being organised by people who know what they are doing
