Serviceton & Kaniva Silo Art

Kaniva and Serviceton have been identified as part of the stage two plan, for Wimmera Mallee Tourism Silo Art Trail. This extension will allow us to build on the brand and international reputation of Australia's largest outdoor gallery 'The Silo Art Trail'. Kaniva and Serviceton give an easily accessible option to travellers between Melbourne and Adelaide by providing a starting or finishing point to anyone visiting the Silo Art Trail. This will enhance the visitor experience for people travelling the Western Highway, whilst celebrating the agricultural region's culture and history.

Silo Art in Kaniva and Serviceton will give vibrancy to our small communities. We anticipate that the project will support recent art and tourism developments, along with supporting many new local investments in our area, including hospitality, retail and accommodation businesses. This project will provide a link from the VIC/ SA border to the Silo Art Trail, opening up new tourism markets and providing a break for travellers on the Western Highway. This will help to further promote assets including the heritage listed Serviceton Railway Station, Sheep Art, Kaniva Fauna and Wetlands Park along with the new nature based play-space.
