This will be a dedicated sensory play environment to meet the requirements of our increasing numbers of children with sensory needs. We are in a rural area and the school is a play destination for all children in the district, particularly after hours, during weekends and school holidays. Children from the school, the After School Care program, the Kangaroo Ground Pre-school and local children who visit daily will all make use of this facility. The planned gazebo at the centre of the play space will make this a much more family friendly destination for all those who regularly visit.

All our facilities are used by the local community on a daily basis. The project will benefit the school, Pre-school and the Andrew Ross Museum, all located on the site. The school is a staging centre for the local CFA and adjoins a tennis club where children use our playgrounds while waiting for lessons. Ten local school buses collect children from our site so our play equipment and courts are used by children of families waiting to collect siblings. There are few, if any, similar facilities in our rural district so we are a destination play space for local children.

A very worthy project for the community where government support has been grossly lacking.

Such a brilliant idea with a focus on broader community participation. Inclusiveness for minority groups lacks in this region, so projects like this are invaluable.

This is a great idea since the school services a wide area and has so many families visit!
