This project will build on the already strong partnerships with the Lancefield Neighbourhood House, Men's Shed, kindergartens and other community groups. It will be open for all members of the community to participate in, nurture and look after the community garden. This grant money will also supply the school with much need resources to further it's Garden 2 Table Program and allow the fit out of a storage container for not only educational use but use by those who work in the community garden. There will be community planting days and working bees. This is a fully inclusive community project.

Lancefield Primary School is an inclusive place for all and we want to expand that to embrace the wider community and provide a place where people can come together and grow fresh food, to learn, relax and make new friends. The school already has a sustainability focus with it's own school garden and cooking program, where produce and baked goods is sold at the monthly Lancefield Farmers' Market. We see the community garden as an extension of that school program, where the wider community can join in and share their knowledge and expertise and access freshly grown produce.
