A two day festival celebrating IDAHOBIT2019 and the diversity of the North Central Region. The Rural Rainbows Festival will be a whole of community event and LGBTIQ friendly. Activities will include 'DRAG KINGS and DRAG QUEENS RACES'; best dressed competitions, a wide variety of musicians from the North Central area and beyond; market stalls; local produce; arts and crafts; LGBTI Awareness opportunities for the community to participate in. The aim is to continue to build a strong LGBTI community by inviting the whole community to join the dance - equity and inclusion.

The Festival will help break down the barriers faced by LGBTIQ people in the North Central region, improve their mental and physical health and continue the journey towards equity and inclusion. The Festival is an opportunity to achieve meaningful social change by improving community awareness and to accelerate community acceptance of all people with special needs. The event will assist the community to move from acceptance to inclusion and what a great way to do so by 'inviting everyone to join the dance', the drag races, competitions, market stalls, local produce, arts and crafts. A great rural tourism opportunity!
