running textile art workshops in the local community

I hope to run some very accessible, low cost textile art workshops in my local community. With my partner organisations support l will gather some local artists who want to teach others and run workshops in surrounding community venues. We will make beautiful things using mainly donated materials that have been saved from landfill.

I hope to give local people with time on their hands the opportunity to learn or get re-acquainted with the art of the cross stitch, sewing, felting, knitting, crocheting, painting and mosaics. Along with local artists l will provide the literal glue and hope the social kind happens as a consequence of getting together and sharing our stories.
We all know that social isolation is not a good thing if it's happening to us and l hope this project will help address that.
