It will be further enhanced by the proposed extension, well done to all those dedicated folk for your great work to date, and wishing the project future success!

This project would extend the current paved track from Pebble Beach a further 0.9 kilometres making a round trip of 6 kilometres. It opens up beautiful views of the Kiewa River and Mount Bogong, providing easier access to the river for recreational and training activities. The area is surrounded by mountains and is one of the few available areas for a flat track. The track is located very close to the Mount Beauty and Tawonga South townships, making it easily accessible. The Community has been working to achieve this track over 10 years and it has recently been fully scoped.
Market research shows that visitors value access to rivers over most other activities and this track will play a crucial role in supporting the local economy. The even, sealed surface would make the track available to all ability levels, ages and those with disabilities, either supported or going it alone. Both locals and tourists need safe places to exercise or relax which is beneficial for their health and fitness. There are many sites where picnic facilities will be established. Wayfinding and Interpretative signage about the Kiewa Valley will be placed in appropriate locations.

Mt beauty residence have now out grown the few out door activities that exist for the town the extension track is well overdue, please continue the track for the benefit of rate payers & visitors to our town
Such a great walk, summer or winter, with amazing views. So excited to hear it has been shortlisted! Long overdue!
It sounds like a wonderful idea. The extension to the present Pebble Beach path will be used by locals and visitors alike. It will also be very easy for people in wheelchairs, on bikes, walking with prams etc.
This extension would provide a much needed accessible, safe and permanent walking track along the beautiful Kiewa River. The whole community, from the very young to the elderly (tourists included) would benefit, whether they be riding bikes, pushing prams, walking dogs, jogging, fishing or just strolling. A very worthwhile project.
this project will enhance the natural beauty and access to a peasefull river walk to residents and tourists alike with minimal environmental impact
This project would be a great asset to all Kiewa Valley residents and all of the many tourists who visit our beautiful Valley.

Fantastic plan, would also provide acces to the area for people with mobility issues
How good would it be if this area could be more easily accessed by people with disabilities and the ageing!
Walking, Jogging, Riding on an extension to this asset, along this beautiful river thru lovely farm land with stunning views of the surrounding mountains will be a real enhancement for the local community and also for our visitors of all ages.
A much needed addition to our local community to support locals and their outdoor activities but also cater for our visitors to the area.
Fantastic! Necessary! Long over due! Go for it !
Something for everyone! Lets support a small community with vision. It is also a great idea in the interests of safety on the river as there is not a lot of access to this section of the river.
Extend it to Tawonga Fishing track and make the surface suitable for a 4WW or mobility scooter.
In the areas where farmers are against it can it be a raised walkway to prevent washaways or attacking bulls. If near farm land it MUST be a dogs on lead area MOST (but not all) locals are very good with controlling their dogs, not so some visitors.
Will enhance the beautiful area,
This is a beautiful area and will be even more so if extended.
It would be a wonderful facility to promote recreational activities along the river in a safe environment
This project will enable visitors and local residents to walk, relax or social bike ride off the main roads, enjoying the beautiful peaceful environment. This is an option to encourage self care and support improving mental health.
This project will create connectivity for the Pebble Beach Walking/Cycling Path and will be used by both locals and tourists.
Great idea, I agree with others, this track would be even better if it linked to Tawonga or to a mountain creek trail.
This is a very worthy project for members of the community and tourists of all age. There are a number of walking groups in the community and they will make full use of the facility.
This path is very popular and safe for visitors, locals and dogs to walk along. It would be amazing and a huge benefit to the town if the track could be extended to take advantage of the Kiewa River.
Continuing this track on the the Tawonga Caravan Park would be great! It is also a great idea in the interests of safety on the river as there is not a lot of access to this section of the river.
If looking to join up to the existing track that comes towards Pebble Beach from the Tawonga Caravan Park a bridge would be needed.

An excellent project that has been on the back-burners for way too long. It will be of great benefit to locals and visitors alike. Encouraging healthy outdoor exercise while educating all to the beauty of the West Kiewa River and the wonders of our natural environment, which deserves our support in order to preserve this precious asset.
