Run for Fun, Community Fitness Track and Equipment

The Community Fitness Track and Equipment will be installed around our school oval, providing use to over 1,500 people, including students, staff, families, community and other local schools. It will be a valuable addition to fundraising events, our Elective Program, and all sporting events including our whole School Athletics Day, Interschool Sport and PE Program. The improvement in student fitness will also assist community sporting clubs that students are involved in. The Community Fitness Track and Equipment will allow programs to be enhanced to meet the growing needs and diversity of our community's health, and encourage a positive active culture.

Currently our school only has access to the school oval and gym, which means that for events such as our whole school Athletics Day and Interschool Sports we are required to go elsewhere. By developing a Community Fitness Track and Equipment station, it will encourage students to be physically active, and also support our sports program by allowing us to hold sporting events for the whole community. Additionally, this facility will encourage parents to become more involved. Savings in time and money will also be an added value as there will be a decrease in transport use and facility hire.
