• My Project will promote a safe and accessible community facility with new modern & hygienic kitchen facilities. It is to be used by community groups for people of all ages and abilities, to promote voluntary service, to engage in learning and social activities that benefits all of us.
• The Rotary Club of Ballarat South, a not-for-profit organisation, will purchase, install and maintain all equipment using their own skills and qualified tradespersons at minimum cost to its users.
• The Club has recently refurbished the building to provide significant improvements including heating and cooling for all kinds of meetings.
• My Project fulfils two of the four Primary Goals detailed within the City of Ballarat’s Council Plan 2017-2021.
A: LIVEABILITY - Improving our community’s quality of life.
B: SUSTAINABILITY - Protect, maintain and enhance our built assets.
• The building has already benefited many local, national and international community meeting groups including Rotary District 9780 (Geelong - Mt Gambier), Probus, Car Clubs, Arch of Victory / Avenue of Honour, and even a new Mothers Club. We intend to extend this use to many others in a warm, friendly and comfortable environment that has modern kitchen facilities.
