The new Ross House Community Theatre and Conference Space will be able to accommodate a diverse range of organisational and accessibility needs and will house the latest high tech audio visual equipment, allowing for the space to be used for video and business conferencing, community events and classes, and cinematic experiences.
A new community kitchen and break-away communal social space will also be built adjacent to the conference space, allowing for greater flexibility and use of the space as a whole.
The Community Theatre and Conference Space will be available for any member of the public to hire.
The creation of a purpose built Community Theatre and Conference Space will play an important role in connecting communities, creating opportunities for social exchange and in turn strengthening social bonds to establish a sense of belonging.
Creating opportunities to increase social connection, community collaboration and achieve social-justice outcomes is at the heart of everything Ross House Association does.
All revenue received through facility hire at Ross House goes back into empowering a community of small environment and social-justice organisations, to work together for social change for us all, by providing affordable office space, resources and a collaborative and supportive environment.

Ross House does an incredible job of providing space in Melbourne CBD, ordinarily out of reach of the down-end of town and does so with so much grace and dignity.
Ross House delivers real results in real time to the marginalized of Melbourne and any support/funding to Ross House is very well placed.

Ross House has served the community for 30 years and is committed to looking after marginalized groups and creating an accessible and welcoming home for many many Melbournians. Creating a conference and theatre space is a concept that all the tenants have agreed as a way to make Ross House more vibrant in the community as well as great accessibility for the deafblind community to gather to share their skills and talents with the wider community.

Ross House is a wonderful concept, providing affordable meeting space for a whole range of community enterprises.
This project would extend its reach into the community and empower our democracy at a time when we desperately need people to engage.
