At up to 3 metres high, the challenging Climbing Forest will excite and thrill older children, youths and adults alike with its pole, ropes and net course in the active nature space of the Romsey Ecotherapy Park. Including lookouts, rope bridge, a vertical climbing net and hammock, it will provide an innovative health and wellbeing resource whilst at the same time engaging and connecting people from a broad range of ages. It will be the largest such park element in the Macedon Ranges region and, as such will attract regional visitors and local community members to the park.

As the largest climbing forest of its kind in the Shire, the local community will benefit from a health and wellbeing perspective as it will encourage them to engage with and be active in nature. As a drawcard, it will enhance social connections, for children through to senior citizens as they are drawn to the challenge and adventure of this innovative Climbing Forest.

The local community will also benefit from increased visitation and subsequent economic development, as locals and visitors to the town are attracted to this key element of the Romsey Ecotherapy Park.

This has been a site that holds so much value for our local residents. It was very sad to see the school grounds deteriorate to the extent it had. Let's get this wonderful project finished such that Romsey has a long term resource and attraction for residents and visitors alike.

An important initiative for Romsey from social, historical and tourism perspectives. A worthwhile project to encourage people from all parts of town to spend time and meet together as a community in an open space and have fun at the same time
