Improve stairs and provide stone steps and platforms to give safe access to the waters edge for canoeists , fishers and anyone who wants access to the water. Paddling at the site or travelling down to Warrandyte is a regular use for many paddlers. Fishing or just getting close to the water on a warm day is a popular pastime.

The current access is to river is steep and slippery , improving the site will make it safer for all including those with limited mobility.
Popularity of the site is causing erosion damage to the bank. Provision of stone steps and platforms down to the water edge such as the recent improvements at Finns Reserve will enhance the site in an environmentally and aesthetic way for this popular site. There is currently good road access, parking, toilets and picnic facilities and enhancing the water access will compliment the existing facilities.
