The newly established Richmond High School completed in 2018, is a much needed and valued commitment to education in Richmond and the surrounding locality by the Andrews Government. We the local community are privileged to have such modern up to date facilities on our doorstep. The concrete panels providing the main structure for the school abuts another much loved community facility, the Richmond Union Bowling Club, (RUBC). RUBC turns 150 years old this year and the dull blank wall offers a unique opportunity to bring together its historic past and the new vibrant community the school provides to the area.

The mural will bring together an aesthetically pleasing reminder of the iconic old club house and founding members of a long standing community hub, with the new high school. It will be visible across the Richmond sky scape, with views from as faraway as the public housing, Citizens Park and the adjoining basketball courts. It will be a talking point around town and potentially encourage more of the community to get involved in the sporting pursuit of lawn bowls at RUBC, which for 150 years has brought together people from all walks of life in a nurturing, supportive family environment.

150 years the detailed pictures would be a great to celebrate Richmond union bowls club sporting heritage.

It does look like there's a lot going on / these pics can be found in the club rooms.

The old building looks fantastic would it be possible for it to be maximized height and length wise proportionally, to take up the most part of the wall possible?

Few iconic Richmond people from the past 200 years be it from the bowling club and or community, added into a few places in the building picture could be interesting talking points.

This would be amazing for the area. If i could only suggest some fine tuning of the design to make it feel more like a mural than just some photos reproduced on the wall. Either way you're on the right track.

we'd love to be involved with this project and could help you with sourcing artists and materials.

Keep it simple, its classic, timeless and doesn't look cluttered. But either one is so much better than a blank concrete wall.

KISS- keep it simple! What a grand old pic, celebrating 150 years of Richmond's sporting heritage.

I really like either version, but if I had to choose for now, it would be the simple version so that future community generations can add their history as they see it.
