Revitalising the Murrabit Country Market site will help meet the needs of our 200 regular stallholders, 80,000 yearly visitors, 12 community groups and 90 plus volunteers who raise funds through the market to sustain our small community. A new family friendly area with additional shade, seating, outdoor games and art will attract greater numbers of young families to the market. Upgrades to the community food preparation area will improve food safety and reduce volunteer workload. Additional landscaping, lighting, lawn areas and a drinking water fountain will make the market site more attractive, appealing and functional.
The Murrabit Country Market sustains our small community. Revitalising the market site will attract more visitors both on market and non-market days and enhance the visitor experience. Improving facilities will reduce workload on our volunteers and allow facilities to be used for a wider range of community activities. Increasing community fundraising capacity supports and sustains community programs and activities. The Murrabit Country Market is a source of pride and forms the centre of our community. The project to revitalise the market site will ensure that this community driven success story continues into the future.

Little communities are at a disadvantage in a public voting competition like this -low population, aged population without email address and mobile phone. We are also a Murray River border community and yet our residents just over our bridge in NSW aren't able to vote taking away another chunk of population! Please spare a vote for us..we have run a hugely successful market for the past 41 years. Our market site really needs a revamp and think we have earns a little helping hand to achieve our goals.

Revitalisation of this wonderful country market would benefit the whole Murrabit community. As many country towns we need support. There is a strong and generous community spirit that would flourish with the financial aid of this grant. To encourage the extended community, holiday makers and general public to visit the vibrant country market would help us all who love living in Murrabit.

It would be great to have the Murrabit market upgraded with the new facilities and bring in some more people to the community Murrabit is a very lovey place to be in and the community that live and come to this area do a great job in keeping it cleaned and maintained for all to see. So as a resident here I would love to see more people come and enjoy the area not just for the market days.

We are proud of our little community with a big heart, Murrabit. Our Market is held on the first Saturday of every month and attracts a lot of people who come to sell their wares or come to shop to support our town. Please think of us and the many volunteers who work so hard to keep our market place looking good throughout the year. An upgrade to our market place would make the world of difference for everyone and is much needed for those wet days when the faithful still come! Please consider us by voting and support our wonderful project.
