Bonbeach Children’s Playground and Community BBQ Cannes Avenue Recreation

Kingston City Council have recently removed the children’s playground and have decided to reinstate the playground in Bonbeach for the community. My proposal is to build on Council’s proposal by creating an all weather community shelter, with bbq facilities, picnic tables/chairs and accessible pathways around new playground, shelter and remainder of facilities. The proposed funding would work together with Councils playground approval to create a social community space for all ages to share and enjoy in the Bonbeach area. The proposal has been discussed with Chris White from Kingston Council who supports the proposal put to you for additional funding.

Bonbeach has unfortunately had it’s only playground removed and Council have agreed to replace the children’s playground. My proposal is to build on Councils proposal and create a community shelter for the community including families to gather and socialise in the outdoors. This proposal at Cannes Avenue Bonbeach would create a community space to be proud of, where all people of different ages sit, play and enjoy in all seasons. Having a community shelter, bbq facilities, picnic tables/chairs and accessible pathways, in addition to the children’s playground enables all ages of people to enjoy the community setting and feel included.
