The proposed upgrade aims to provide high quality change rooms for cricket, netball and football players as well as improved lighting throughout the reserve. It includes new solar lighting, upgraded change rooms. The lighting will improve sporting facilities and player safety. It will provide an appropriately lit reserve allowing players and visitors a safe facility during the evening. The upgrade to the change rooms will allow for facilities adequate for women's sport and increase women's participation in sport.
Members of the clubs and the community will benefit greatly from lights at the reserve, with more hours in the evening to visit and spend time. Safety is paramount too. Improved lighting will increase the experience for visitors at the ground for a growing population and provide greater safety, quality and an accessible community sports ground that has safe facilities and allows more opportunities for training. The upgrade to the change rooms will provide facilities for women and girls participating in sport. This will benefit the community and encourage people get active and more involved in football, cricket and netball.
