Replacement Playground for Laang Community

The Laang community has got a lot of use out of our current treated pine play equipment over the years. However the equipment has deteriorated to a stage beyond where maintenance can ensure the playground is safe for children to use. It is proposed to remove the old equipment and replace it with new equipment that offers similar attributes and size. The play equipment is available for anyone who visits to use. The use of the playground not only provides physical benefits for those who use it, but also has a positive impact on the emotional wellbeing of the community.

The upgrade of the playground will provide a safe place for children to play and therefore a space for the local community to catch-up in an informal setting. Providing a space for young families to gather. It will strengthen the Laang community. While the Laang community is the direct beneficiary, people come from all over the distinct to use the Laang Tennis Court (they are free to use at anytime) and hall. The playground is used by children attending tennis matches and functions at the hall with their families.
