Replacement of Shelters for Community Sporting Facility

1. The Club has an all weather synthetic bowling green for the use of all members of
the community at any time of the day, cost free. 2. The Green is wheelchair accessible. 3. Community groups from probus, corporate, barefoot bowls and schools use this
green regularly to provide exercise and social interaction for their members. 4. The heat generated from a synthetic green is far greater than that experienced
on other surfaces.
5. Providing suitable All-Weather shelters protecting the health and comfort of
players from the elements is vital to retain and increase participation and wider
community use.

1. The existing shelters only cover 50% of facility. The majority of people wishing to
play bowls are elderly who will not participate in the hotter months owing to limited
shade. We wish to provide new shelters to eliminate this problem, and encourage
people of all genders, ages and abilities to enjoy the exercise and social
stimulation the game of bowls provides.
2. Providing excellent amenities influence greater community participation. 3. The Club is anxious to assist working men women & families to enjoy bowls at
their convenience. New shelters will provide patrons greater comfort and time
flexibility.
