Great club that could do with some extra TLC.

We recently engaged a leading court/project consultant to complete a feasibility study and needs assessment of our courts, including detailed costings. The club spent $6,000 and their findings demonstrated that although we are a strong and vibrant club, we do not have the infrastructure to match it. This mainly covers the age and deteriorating condition of courts 3 to 6, the lighting on these courts and also the condition and age of our clubhouse. With a strong membership base and growing casual usage we need to upgrade and this grant would assist with supplying new fencing.
The fencing upgrade will support the members and also increase numbers in casual court users (now available through the book a court system) to provide better facilities for the local community. We have an active and effective committee of 9 people, over 220 paid members, 300 junior tennis students, which bucks the trend at many clubs. We are committed to developing the club as an important community hub but we cannot do this without upgraded facilities. Tennis is a cradle to grave active pursuit for many people with a broad range of different ages and groups playing at our club.

I think there is a black market for selling tennis balls as we are losing so many through and under fence. Please let us know if you find out.
Also if you walk past the tennis courts at Regents Park please wear a crash helmet as you may need it when the fences collapse. Been leaning over at a major angle for ages now. Not cheap to replace. The club does not have that type of money The fencing will not just help the tennis club but everybody at Regents Park. Get behind something really practical and needed. Safety issue also for all the kids who play at the club. Lets open up the world to the kids that play tennis in a proper way. Through the gate!
Aspendale Tennis Club caters to all ages from young children and the Hotshots programme to Social Tennis on Tuesday night for all ages...
Aspendale tennis club is truly a local gem, much appreciated in the community.
Great family club. Very community minded with a very active committee.

Love my local tennis club. Replacing the rusty fences would be a great improvement for many years to come.
