The historic hall is a hub for gatherings, including non profit organisation meetings, social functions, local dances, community market, childrens parties, community functions, funerals, school events, Hepburn Shire meetings and indigenous reconciliation functions.
The community will benefit from the safety improvements to this historic building, and by preserving the building and its integrity in the local area, locals will continue to fully utilise this site. Upgrading this historic building is a must for our community and the users who depend on the building.
Most important is ensuring facilities are functional for all age groups and abilities.

I grew up in this lovely town. Many School Cristmas Concerts. Old time dances and Even school was attended in the hall while the School was being re furbed in the 80's. May it stand for many more years! With a little help of course
Enjoy dancing in this great hall.
We attend dances here and the Hall would benefit from maintenance and improvements.
Attended this lovely hall over many years for all different functions. Family still remains in the area.
Attended many functions here when I was younger, dances, wedding reception, kitchen teas, etc. Hope this project get up.
A great idea! It would be brilliant to see the hall used also to develop new work, for creative development space, for young people to engage in the arts - visual, performing, multimedia - a great space inside and out - and for touring work to come to Yandoit.
The Hall is currently under-utilised. I would like to see it become an asset of the adjacent Yandoit Primary School, with the Education Department picking up maintenance costs and bills. The school could then use the hall for activities such as dance, drama, music and gymnastics. Currently the school does not use it, I think for insurance reasons and costs. The Hall should of course remain available for community use. Most community use of the hall is outside school hours: evenings and weekends.
I'd like to comment on this. The school has always had free use of the hall and always will.

Thank you very much to everyone who has voted for the restoration of our local historic hall. If you haven't already voted and are considering who to vote for please read the application and give us a vote. We are a small community and would appreciate any votes that will come our way. The historic significance of the building is enormous. It was burnt down in the 1969 bush fires that ravaged central Victoria and the locals pulled together to rebuilt the hall. It is full of precious memories for a lot of people.
