Refurbishment of Heritage History Centre

The installation of purpose built storage and display units will reflect and enhance the heritage value of the building. Members of the group will have much improved access to the collections and public visitations will increase due to the ability of the History Group to hold events that encourage public interest and local involvement.

The History Group has amassed a valuable collection of readable material, a significant photographic library of town development and an extensive number of personal documents. The community has been denied access due to lack of space and the need to preserve valuable materials away from public areas. New shelving and display units will mean materials are readily available for research and local families will have access to genealogy studies.
