This shule is so much more vibrant since the new Rabbi has been there - so much going on an an upgrade to the hall would be amazing.

The refurbished community engagement and social hall will serve as a multi-purpose space catering to the needs of the local community. The current space is outdated and ineffective. Our project will see a total refurbishment of the function hall which will include new furniture and an audio visual facility. Access will be available to the local community and the hall will be used to host social evenings, guest speakers, movie nights, personal celebrations and milestone events, multicultural activities, school groups, weekly playgroup and senior citizen programs.
It will provide us the ability to host events and activities which will enhance community lifestyle and well-being. This will include guest lectures, social movie nights, playgroup, youth activities as well as activities for senior citizens and many other programs and events. We have been asked to regularly host school groups as part of a multicultural education program and this will now provide us the ability to host appropriately. The community space being professional and up to date with the added advantage of a Kosher kitchen will cater effectively to the needs of the local and/or broader community.

The facility will support the large MtScopus primary campus and allow for deepr engagement and the provision of services and technology previously not available.
Similarly many other activities that embrace a wider field of candidates will have access to this community space and the added benifit of a upgraded professional kitchen facility.
All these improvements will enhance a deeper level of community engagement and acces to previously unavailable facilities of this type within the local walkable area.

This is a highly desirable project as the current area is outdated and inefficient .. would be wonderful to have a modern facility that the community would be proud of

A well deserved project. The current community hall is outdated, it doesn't meet the specific needs of the people in the community. There is no space to organise functions for young families with young children.
The refurbished multipurpose function hall will create a place where casual, informal, connections are created. These connections create a sense of belonging to the community especially for younger families.
