Recollections

Music collecting is internet driven these days, I'm trying to document the stories of how people collected their vinyl/record collections.

Stories will be told through live events, video documentation and the production of a book (featuring images of record collections, people and their stories).

Running local events at schools, aged care facilities and Bond Street Event centre where participants are encouraged to bring along records from their personal collections and are asked three questions: what..where..why?
Participants from events are interviewed individually, sharing their memories, which will be collated for a book.

Recollections creates a friendly environment where a community of like minded vinyl lovers can gather, talk and share the stories of their record collections and the local businesses that facilitated their vinyl-fix. All welcome. Every record tells a story, these are those stories.
