Reach for the Stars (RFTS) is a project where the young Reach facilitators (aged 15-25) are nominated by their peers to receive support in an area that helps them reach their potential and follow their passions/dreams. For example, they may be: An athlete that needs a trainer; want to study medicine but need a tutor; want to be an actor but can't afford classes.

RFTS provides resources to these young people that gives them opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have had to follow there passions/dreams and become better leaders for the young people they work with.

Reach’s young facilitators, like all young people, face challenges and lack of access to resources that help them achieve their potential/dreams. Many face issues such as relationship issues, homelessness, mental health issues, education stress, etc.

RFTS provides Reach’s young facilitators with resources to help them achieve their potential/goals, using community development/sustainability principles. For example, they may have a dream of being a musician, but don’t have the resources to record and produce their own music. RFTS, with the help of their peers, will provide them the opportunity to do just that! Therefore being a bigger inspiration/influence to other young people.
