Re-establish Bunninyong Little Athletics

Bunninyong Little Athletics was originally established in 1973 but due to lack of numbers went into recess. Due to the increase in population in Bunninyong and the drive from the community to run a Little Athletics Centre in Bunninyong the centre has been re-stablished. Bunninyong Little Athletics will be accessible for all children, regardless of ability to compete, in a supportive atmosphere. The Little Athletics Victoria motto of FAMILY, FUN and FITNESS goal. Athletes will compete on a friday evening in a modified athletics program.

The community doesn't not current run an athletics program under the Little Athletics model. This will provide a structured program of athletics supported by Little Athletics Victoria that will build community strength through sport. It will allow children of all sporting abilities to develop skills and socialise in a environment that promotes fitness in the 5 to 16 year old age group. As parent involvement is also required it fosters a sense of community within all ages and the benefits that being part of a club involves. Sport is not only about fitness but a sense of community.
