Raise the Roof

The Stawell Gymnastics Club Inc. provides classes for both boys and girls including: toddlers, pre-school children, primary school, secondary school, competitive and recreational gymnasts, adults and an inclusive (disability) class. Currently the gym roof is too low for higher level gymnasts to perform skills required to advance through the National Levels. Raising the roof would allow gymnasts to progress through National Levels without having to source a training venue out of town. At present there are leaks in the roof that are causing damage to equipment. This project would allow these leaks to be repaired.

By raising the roof and eliminating the leaks, we will be able to provide our members with equipment that is currently unattainable. Equipment such as an above ground pit, MAG and WAG bar areas that allow all our members to learn and develop new skills. We will be able to keep our equipment in a state that meets Occupational Health and Safety standards and decreases the risk of injury and deterioration of equipment.
