Our Project aims to create community inclusion for all residents by providing a Community Hub. A space to hold various free workshops, local art exhibitions, tourist information and a permanent shop space for small local businesses allowing them to sell, showcase their items and promote their businesses to locals and tourists. Operating 4 days per week. All Quambatook residents will have access to the free workshops which will run monthly along with Quarterly Market Days where all Quambatook residents will have free stalls.
Quambatook is Home- our purpose is to generate skills and optimism for the future of our residents.
This project will utilise an otherwise empty shop space, beautify the streetscape and create a sense of pride. Quambatook Community inclusion and involvement throughout each stage of this project and via free workshops will empower, skill up individuals, promote connectivity and a stronger sense of community. By utilising local and individuals skills and expertise, this will also ensure community ownership of the project. Small Local Businesses involvement will create networks, exposure of and an opportunity to showcase products, giving them an increased income stream in their town, sharing their skills with others whilst increasing tourism to our beautiful little town.
