Q Store Container & Resources - 1st Doreen Scout Group

1st Doreen Scout Group would like to purchase and fully resource a 40’ shipping container to use as our Q Store. Scouts is a youth lead organisation, our members range starting with Joeys at 5 1/2 years to our Rovers at 25 years, having access to these resources and equipment would empower our youth leaders and the wider community to plan better programs and implement a wide variety of inclusive activities to improve our youths skills to better serve the community.

1st Doreen Scout Group have participated in many community events within the Whittlesea municipality. These have included, World Environment Day, Clean Up Australia Day, The Laurimar Primary School ANZAC vigil & Dawn Service. We have also done local tree planting and have helped make sandbags to protect local homes. The group visited Mernda police station, CFA and SES building positive relationships between our youth and our emergency service personnel.

With the new Q Store and resources our ambition is to reach more youth in the local community and guide them to develop meaningful life and leadership skills for their future.
