This project assists a broad range of youth-focused community clubs & unemployed youth and secondary & primary schools. It will use specific exhibitions to provide a forum for discussions chaired by a qualified educator. These conversations will stimulate young people to develop confident voices and articulate their vision for the future, their needs and hopes, and will also align with key curriculum areas. This program emphasises young people having opportunities for personal expression rather than them being instructed. Conversations will be held in gallery spaces aligned with relevant exhibitions for example the VCE Showcase & the National Photographic Prize.

This project diversifies local opportunities for young people, for participating in varied and stimulating environments and having access to inspiring and exemplary art forms, creative producers and educators in settings external to the classroom. It seeks to draw out responses from young people to what they see, to trigger new ideas and confident young voices. This project will elevate the level of service that our students and young people are offered by providing qualified educators (external to the schools) to work with students in the Gallery setting, a resource that larger galleries/communities can take for granted as a core.
