Lang Lang is home to Australia's longest continually running Rodeo. For over 75 years the Lang Lang Easter Monday Rodeo has attracted crowds to our town. In recognition of this fact the township registered the bucking horse as a trade mark and it would be a fitting way to welcome people into our town by having it painted onto the water tower which overseas our community. Much like a silo art project the logo could say "Lang Lang Welcomes You" and be surrounded by flowering wattle blossoms. This would bring tourists to our township supporting our economy.
The Silo Art phenomenon has gripped Australia. Our township whilst not having a silo, does have a water tower. The painting of our logo on the tower with "Lang Lang Welcomes You" would help foster a greater sense of community in our township, attract tourists to our town which would benefit our local traders and by default help promote the towns long running Rodeo. By putting wattle blossoms in bloom around the logo we would also recognise the natural beauty of our environment as well as beautify an existing piece of infrastructure that is fairly drab.

Spend money on more useful projects, not art and beautification. It’s about time that the Government gets their heads out of their butts and realise other things are more of a priority
