Exciting to think further knowledge will be shared through this project. A much greater awareness of how special Ricketts Point is will be a great outcome.

Marine Education Science and Community Centre Inc. (MESAC) is located at Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary, which is highly valued for its interesting indigenous history, geology, archaeology, and diverse marine and terrestrial ecosystems. We have planned a series of inclusive, diverse activities and workshops, both on the land and in the water for the community, offering something for everyone!
Some of the activities include; Marine Art Show, Marine Photography course, Activity Leaders’ Certificate, Seaweed pressing course, Marine Science Seminar Day, Disabled Diving/Sailing events, Fossil Event, Winter and Summer Solstice Walks, and National Science Week Community event with Beaumaris Secondary College.
This exciting volunteer run program is community-oriented and open to all, offering a diverse array of onsite marine activities for primary and high school levels, as well as the broader community. There are few activities for disabled people to enjoy the marine environment – these days are special and unforgettable experiences.
This project will further raise awareness and provide valuable learning tools through fun activities which includes thousands of community participants. We work in cooperation with the sanctuary manager, Parks Victoria, as well as Bayside Council, and many other government and non-government organisations who care for the marine environment.

A very worthy project.
Thousands of years in the making, what a privilege to experiences it's pleasures in own own back yard. Preserve & treasure & we will have it for ever.
While I am at it, let's make sure we spell it "Rickett's Point"
Named after Captain Thomas Ricketts - perhaps Ricketts' point for the very pedantic, but certainly NOT Rickett's.
A worthwhile activity, that is relevant and timely.
A wonderful project showcasing the Marine Education Science and Community Centre, at the most beautiful Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary. Thank you so much for all that you do for community free of charge and all your passion to save this marine environment for future generations.
