Project includes:
- Purchase of inspirational, safe playground equipment
- Upgrade safe play areas (softfall/bark chipping)
- Enhancing existing spaces, include sandpit/cubby area
- Health Body / Health Mind program focus - Build focus on inclusive play, build social /physical
Phoenix P12 Community College is part of the Ballarat South Community Precinct - which encourages community involvement and ownership.
An updated play-space would not only be a school play-ground but also an inviting/exciting area for community children to play safely.
Sebastopol is a low socio-economic area where youth need encouragement to be active and healthy, and the provision of updated play space will give them another space to access. Sharing with the community builds ownership and pride in facilities, making for a better community spirit.
The children at PP12CC deserve and will enjoy this new fun play spaces.
